I want to spotlight and go into a little more detail on a
little known essential oil.  Davana
(Artemisia Pallens) is one that I look to frequently this time of year in our
Shield of Armor Aromamist.  Because the
health benefits of Davana Essential Oil that can be attributed to its
properties like anti depression, anti septic, anti viral, disinfectant,
expectorant, and relaxant, it is especially helpful this time of the year.    The
Shield of Armor Aromamist is one of the first things I break out of the
medicine cabinet whenever I or any member of my family first starts to show
signs that they are getting sick.  I
simply spray it in the air and walk through the mist breathing in the aroma
deeply.  I will also spray it directly on
the chest or back.  At first, the
fragrance is unpleasing to many.  It is
definitely an acquired preference.  My 11
year and I both have come to find great comfort in the aromatherapy from the
Davana and even find it quite pleasing now. 
One description of the aroma I have read compares it to wine.  It does smell slightly alcoholic, so if you
are a wine lover, you will most likely enjoy this essential oil.  Please do not take any essential oil
internally though without first consulting with a trained aromatherapist.
