One of my favorite quotes is "Sometimes the only prayer necessary is Thanks"
With Thanksgiving upon us, let's take the time to be truly grateful for something or someone, and act upon it.
For your 20 minute retreat: Have a piece of paper and pen,or your
Today journal ready. Using the Celebrate oil in a passive diffuser -
sit in the lotus position for 5 minutes – than begin a series of 4 very
deep inhales to the count of 8 – do "square" breathing where you will
breathe in for 8, hold for 8 and exhale for 8 (important that you are
sitting, not standing, for square breathing), you will be in a very
relaxed state at this point. Now focus for 5 minutes on gratitude. Names
or situations will begin to pop in to your head – right them down.
When you have a list of items/people that you are grateful for pick 3-5
that you can act on this week. If you are grateful for your home – make a
donation to the homeless shelter, if you are grateful for your children
– tell them, if you are grateful for your income – share it. We all
have so many thing to be grateful for and So many ways to show it!
As always…we'd love to hear how this weeks retreat enhanced your well-being.
